Accessing Ontario's Health Services Workshop

Yesterday we had a workshop about Ontario's health services with Anna and Armine. Through the workshop we learned many information about family doctors, walk-in clinics, emergency ambulance and so on.

1. How to find a family doctor? Ontario College of Physicians and Surgeons Website www.cpso.on.ca.
2. Ontario residents with a valid health card are responsible for an "ambulance service" co-payment of $45.00. Ontario residents who do not have a valid health card & visitors are responsible for an "ambulance service" charge of $240.00.
3. Our health care options include: walk-in clinics, urgent care centres,emergency rooms, family care providers and community health centres.
4. If you have a life-threatening medical emergency, go to a hospital emergency room or call 911 immediately.

Toothache

Three months ago, when I was eating pork ribs, and I accidentally bit down really hard on a bone. At that time my tooth was killing me. Next morning, I went to visit the dentist. The dentist told me that my wisdom teeth had been broken. They had to be taken out. I had to accept this unfortunate fact.
Since then, I am keeping brush my teeth twice a day. I hope that I will have all of my teeth for a long time.

Business Forum

Yesterday I attended a business forum with my classmates and my teacher at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. 

Through the forum, we can face-to face talk to many people who can give a lot of good ideas about how to open a new business by ourselves. We met many entrepreneurs they like people to create jobs and foster innovation. I felt fabulous with these entrepreneurs and their businesses.

Almost all the companies offer some gifts to the visitors, after talking I got many pens and some candy from these companies. My daughter loves the candy very much.

This forum is a very good way to talk to many people. I think this forum is very useful.

My Business Plan in Canada---Daycare School

If I started a business in Canada, I would open a daycare school.
1. I think the most important thing is that I like children very much. I will take care of the children very carefully and patiently.
2. If I can't find a place to open this school, I can open it in my house. This will save a lot of money for me to start my business.
3. I can cook lots of delicious cookies, since most of the children like cookies very much.
4. In the class, I will teach the children painting, singing, dancing and so on.
5. All the children can play together and make friends with each other.
6. This school can help many parents who have little time to look after their children.
I hope my business plan will come true in the future.

Thanksgiving Day

From today's class, I know every second Monday in October is Thanksgiving Day in Canada. Most families will eat turkey for dinner, and watch football on TV to celebrate this day, .
And in my country, we dont't have Thanksgiving Day. But as a new immigrant, I think I will celebrate Thanksgiving Day with my family on that day.

27th Sep Driving Test

The 27th of Sep is a very happy day for me. I have a driving test,and fortunatelly, I passed the test for G2.
